OUR SERVICES
Northwest Consumer Law Center provides direct representation, impact litigation, education, and outreach for consumer legal issues in Washington State to those who qualify for our services. NWCLC provides low-cost services for matters related to debt collection, automobile fraud, foreclosure prevention, bankruptcy, student loans, and other general consumer issues.
Do you qualify?
Northwest Consumer Law Center is only able to serve those who fall within the following guidelines:
PRACTICE AREAS
Debt Defense
Being in debt can be scary, but you're not alone. One in three Americans is in collections. We represent clients in debt collection lawsuits and help them fight back against unlawful debt collection practices, including medical debt / charity care cases, landlord / tenant debt, and debt collector harassment.
Foreclosure Prevention
You have rights when facing foreclosure. We help homeowners find solutions to avoid foreclosure and protect their homes from deceptive mortgage servicing by identifying mortgage servicing / foreclosure defects, representing clients in foreclosure mediation, and assisting with surplus funds post-foreclosure.
Automobile Fraud
Millions of car buyers are estimated to be defrauded each year. We help people fight back against dealerships who break the law by engaging in bushing / yo-yo sales, selling unsafe vehicles, and deceptive advertising / financing practices.
Consumer Bankruptcy
Bankruptcy is an opportunity for a financial fresh start. We help individuals and families start anew by filing for Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy on their behalf.
Student Loans
Two out of three students graduate with significant debt. We help people by representing them in debt collection actions for student loan debt, identifying potentially unlawful debt collection practices, and answering questions about repayment plans and more.
